Re: Total order and total reserved quantity

We need more info.

Where are you seeing these fields?

"Total Order" quantity of POs? SOs?

"Total reserved quantity" isn't a term I associate with purchasing. Reserved by what?

Re: Drop Ship Subcontracting

SAP doesn't support a 3rd Party SubContract order. I wish it did as I've had several clients that had this same scenario. I expect SAP will add it at some point since it's becoming so common. Best solution is to setup a Plant for your Vendor. Enter the Sales Order shipping from that plant and setup ...

Re: Table for US tax rate query by jurisd (TAXUSJ)

KONH (Condition Header) has VALID FROM and VALID TO dates to determine which rate is effective at a give date.

KONM and KONW also connect to KONP, but I doubt you'll need them for what you are doing.

Re: sales BOM

Also, be aware that there is a difference between a "Sales BOM" and an "Order BOM". My answer changes if you actually need an Order BOM (a fixed BOM that is specific to a single Sales Order) instead of a Sales BOM (a BOM where the line item entered in the sales order brings in child sub-items that a...

Re: multiple Sales Organizations on single Sales Order?

A Sales Org can have many plants assigned, though both the Sales Org and all Plants must belong to the same Company Code. Each line item of a Sales Document may be for a different plant, as long as the plant is assigned to the Sales Org. However, as others have indicated, you cannot mix Sales Orgs (...

Re: sales BOM

Try the SAP SD Sales (SD-SLS) document, page 266.

I have it on a share site at:

http://www.box.net/sap >>> SAP Process Area PDFs > SD - Sales and Distribution > SLS - Sales Order Entry > SAP SD Sales (SD-SLS) 46c.pdf

Or, shortcut directly to the document: http://www.box.net/shared/tj5s9vms06

It's your Material Master > MRP 2 View "Storage loc for EP" that is providing the Storage Location value into the PurReq.

Re: Can i delete an item in transfer order

You will have to unpack one piece from a Handling Unit and either create a new HU (and have 1 HU with contents of 2 ea and 2 HUs with contents of 1 ea) or add the piece to an existing HU (resulting in 1 HU with 3 ea and 1 HU with 1 ea).

Well, SAP doesn't publicize failures of projects using their software. But I bet Oracle/PeopleSoft/Baan groups have that info for their marketing purposes.

Re: Batch level and generic batch

Don't Batch Manage anything you don't have to. The hassle level goes up when using it. Batch Manage items where you either need to track Expiration Date, traceability (usually for recall purposes or legal documentation), or where the product needs to be differentiated due to variability from lot to ...

Re: moviment type and effects on moving average cost

When the material was transferred from being Material A to Material B, it transferred at the Price of Material A. Since you're using Moving Average Price, the system averages the price of all receipts. Example: Material A = $10 Material B has 1000 pieces in stock with a Moving Average Price of $5 = ...

Of course, the possible Material Types would still show in the drop-downs to the Users, they just wouldn't be able to create materials using them.

Re: Maintain ports for a Vendor

I'd create a custom Partner Function and then create a custom Vendor Account Type with nothing but name and address required. Create each of your Ports as a Vendor using the new Account Type. For each Vendor that uses one of those Ports, assign the Port Vendor using the new Partner Function. Then yo...
