Hi,

I'm working with Portal SAP and there has been an update to Internet Explorer 8. The thing is that some functionality doesn't work correctly now, the portal gets stuck.
The Webdynpro package used is NetWeaver04s,SP20 / NW7.0,SP20 and I have found a SAP note (1347768) saying that this package should support IE8.
I have checked in another computer with IE6 and it works correctly. The thing is that in some computers with IE8 it works and in other computers it doesn't; could it be caused by some setting in IE8? Could someone help me on this?

Thanks!!

Try turning on compatibility mode in IE8, that should solve your issue. The latest version introduced some changes to the JavaScript engine, and as such, SAPPortal has a field day trying to get through it.

I've also found out by accident, that if the zoom on your browser is not set to 100% in IE8, it will cause your Portal to hang if you open a Web Dynpro app.
