Task List Assignment to PM Notifications

Post by Bothy » Thu Sep 19, 2013 9:05 am

Hi,

I can assign a task list to a notification when the notification is being created. The TL is then pulled through to the work order when the notification is assigned. Can you assign a task list to the notification later if initially it has been saved without a task list? Looks like the task list field are greyed out on the notification Maint Plan tab in change mode.
I know that I can assign a task list directly to the work order at any point but this query is specifically about assignment through the notification.

Any thought are welcome.

Thanks

Bothy

Hi

In which SAP Version are you in?
At least in ECC 6.0, I am able to attach the Task List later in Change mode in the Notification (IW22)

I supose you also want the full task list explosion the moment the notification is stored.

I don't think that within standard SAP this will be performed in the order.

Thanks Manianz and PS square for the responses.

We are on ECC6 EHP4 at the moment. Once the notification is created and saved the task list fields are greyed out in IW22 so no assignment can be made.

If you mean that we want all the task list lines appearing on the work order when the notification is saved, then yes, that would be the desire. it seems to do that when you create the notification, assign a task list and then move on to create the work order.

Thanks for the input and any other thoughts or comments are welcome.

Bill,

Why not get the maintenance plan to create orders instead of notification.

Then you can configure the order type to automatically create the notification.

Hi Pete,

The use of task lists here is for corrective work not planned or preventive work so this is nothing to do with the Maint Plan usage. It just so happens thats what the Tab is called in the notification.
