Hi,
Do you think this is kid's question?
PS - Project system
PP-Production planning
Is that just a different only 'S' ?

Any good comment of this are welcome.
I wish to know also.

Hi,

A tractor and a ferrari both have an engine and four wheels but they serve different purposes.

Differences should be identified by function, not software; ask a Production Manager and a Project Manager.

This game is getting too populated by those who know what the software does rather whan what is required of the wider 'system'.

Hi,

Don't get ferocious Fery.In PP you can do all such things what we are doing in PS.But If you have more and complex activities , you need PS for scheduling, budgeting and to plan cost/revenue and collect costs/revenue .Based on milestones you can invoice the customer or make payment to vendors.Based on progress analysis you can findout the status of your project at any point of time so that you get good control over the project. You can integrate Investment management module for Capital investment project. Finally you can settle to COPA or cost center or asset.

PS will do more lots of things since it is integrated with almost all modules.

If you still need more information about the process contact me offline .

Hi Fery,

FATMAN is the name of the nuclear bomb dropped in Japan during second world war.I like Japanese and also my native place SIVAKASI in India is called "mini japan" (refer http://www.kuttyjapan.com) which is famous for bombs ( fireworks ). so I kept this name for me for rememberance.

Ofcourse I am a fatman weighs like the bomb.
